IT Infrastructure Manager

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading charity who are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager to join their business on a permanent basis.

 

You will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the organisation's IT infrastructure to ensure its reliability, performance, and security. This role encompasses responsibility for hardware, software, networks, and security systems, providing dependable and efficient technology solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing robust IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Managing and maintaining network and security systems.
  • Monitoring and optimising system performance.
  • Overseeing backups and disaster recovery processes.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of systems and processes.
  • Collaborating with leadership to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with strategic goals and budgetary priorities.
  • Providing guidance and support to IT operations staff, including 2nd and 3rd line support, to facilitate efficient issue resolution.
  • Stepping in to provide support or cover for IT team members during absences or emergencies.

 

Key Skills:

  • Proficient in network and security design, implementation, and firewall management, including Checkpoint Firewalls.
  • Experience with Network Management technologies (Zero Trust Network Access, VLAN management, Network Access Control) and Microsoft Azure (Azure Firewall, VPN, Vnets, Virtual Machines, Bastion, etc.).
  • Skilled in managing virtual environments such as VMware VCenter and Extreme Network Technologies, including Extreme Cloud Wi-Fi.
  • Knowledge of cyber security operations, threat management, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and compliance (Cyber Essentials, Data Protection).
  • Proven track record in delivering IT infrastructure projects on time and within budget, along with experience in IT Change Management.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and strategic planning abilities, with adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning.
